The HD Video Camera Debate - Panasonic HVX200A vs. SONY PMW-EX1 vs. CANON XH-A1 / XL-H1

Okay, there is going to be a new series happening on here.

I've been in the market for a new line-up of HD cameras to handle some of my side business, and no, I'm not talking about my "ladies on the side" business because that's none of your business.

And the three main brands and contenders are as follows:

PANASONIC - HVX-200A

SONY - PMW-EX1

CANON - XH-A1 and XL-H1

There has been a lot of talk and heated debate in the video and film industry about these three puppies. And there have been legions of fanboys and die-hards swearing by each and every model, and in some cases people resistant to change or just willing to change for the sake of change itself.

We are going to break this shit down.

We are going to get surgical with this shit.

In the upcoming series of posts, this shit is going to get analyzed with the scientific method.

Post labels are going to begin with the model of the camera, followed by the issue we're breaking down.

By the time you get through this thread, we're all going to be experts...well, competent anyway.

Let's get it on, Big John McCarthy style.
